While this website collects no visitor information, it is hosted by Cloudflare. By Cloudflare's Privacy Policy (from the item “End Users”), your information will be saved by them: “Cloudflare processes End Users’ interactions […] The information processed may include but is not limited to IP addresses, traffic routing data, system configuration information, and other information about traffic”.
Privacy Policy for the Tails iOS application
Like this website, no user information is collected by the app itself.
However, the application sources its data by default from the website e621.net and as stated by their Privacy Policy, “We collect the following information in webserver logs from every visitor:
- The Internet Protocol (IP) address
- The date and time of the request
- The page that was requested [in this case the API endpoint]
- The browser user agent string [in this case Tails]
These items are collected to ensure the security of the service (see "legimitate interests" in the GDPR), and are deleted after 25 days to balance it with user privacy.”
Your e621 account's username and an API key are optional to enter in the app's settings and upon entering, are saved locally on your device encrypted. They're only ever sent back to e621.net until logging out, when the information is deleted from the device.
The web traffic to e621.net is at the time of writing routed using Cloudflare's proxying service, so Cloudflare's privacy policy applies too as specified above for this website.
